Happy New Year Everyone! !
Another year has come and gone and let us all hope that the New Year will be a good one for everyone. I hope that everyone had a Merry Christmas and that Santa was good to everyone. He was good to all of us, we have our health and were able to spend the time together; and the weather was nice also.
The club had a busy year and we have another one coming up in 2009! We have the NATPA pull in February and we need all the able bodies that we can get, even if you can only help for an hour or more you would be much appreciated. There is always plenty to do and if we have the extra help then we can let everyone have a break. We need help at the pull and also in the kitchen area. If you have any questions please give me a call.
We have the Antique Show in June and the Fair in July and we would like to see a big turn-out of tractors at each of these events and your help.
In November we had our annual holiday meal at Stoll's on Hwy. 41. We had 39 adults and 4 children attend; everyone received a goody bag and there were some who won door prizes. It was nice to have a chance to just sit and visit with friends and enjoy some good food.
Now for just a little business; at our 2008 show we had a small incident that involved a golf cart and now our insurance is putting some rules on the use of golf carts, ATV's, and gators, etc.; as these changes are put out to us I will let you know these rules will by the authority of our insurance and we will have to enforce these to protect ourselves.
Oh and before I forget it is also that time of year again that membership dues are to be renewed. I've enclosed a form for you to fill out and return to me with your dues and then I will send you a membership card. I've also enclosed a calendar of events for the 2009 year; if you are able to attend a meeting during the next year it will be nice to see you and hear any ideas you have.
Well, I guess I close this letter with a wish for everyone to have a Happy New Year, hope that everyone has a safe, healthy and gainful new year.
